How to set up a VPN in Telegram

Three steps. The last one is tapping “Connect”.

Everything happens in a Telegram bot — no web forms, no accounts. The bot speaks Russian for now, but it’s just a few buttons, and you can write to support in English.

01

Open the VPN bot

Find @AetherProjectBot in Telegram and tap Start. Join our group and the bot instantly turns on a full week of access — no sign-up, no card.

Under a minute
02

Tap “Open in app”

In the bot it’s the “Открыть в приложении” button. It suggests which app to install on your phone or computer and hands it the settings itself — nothing to copy by hand.

03

Turn it on. Done.

One tap in the app. Whenever we improve something on our side, your settings update on their own.

Why AETHER

Made for places where an ordinary VPN gives up

We don’t sell “a hundred countries to choose from”. We build a VPN that isn’t easy to block: it keeps working even under heavy censorship — every day, without fiddling with settings.

Works where others give up

A VPN for getting around blocks that’s hard to spot. Your subscription includes several ways to connect: if one gets cut off, the app quietly switches to another. To your ISP, your traffic looks like an ordinary website.

A private VPN with no sign-up

We know almost nothing about you: no email, no phone number, no account, no card. We don’t store your browsing history, DNS queries or traffic contents, and you pay with TON.

Smart mode for Russia

Russian banks, Gosuslugi and marketplaces open directly, while everything else goes through the encrypted tunnel. No switching on and off.

Support in the same chat

AETHER started as a VPN for friends and family, and the attitude stuck. Ask in the bot and the answer comes right there; your request stays open until you say it’s solved.

Under the hood

Protocols that are hard to notice

VLESS Reality, WebSocket, gRPC and XHTTP — all four come in one subscription. Nothing to choose: the app picks whichever works best.

Invisible entry

The connection looks like a visit to a large, well-known website — with a real certificate. It’s practically indistinguishable from a normal browser.

VLESS + Reality

Just like a website

Runs over plain HTTPS — the same thing your email, bank and chats use.

WebSocket

Steady connection

A fast channel that keeps the connection stable even on mobile data and on the move.

gRPC

The newest disguise

Splits traffic into ordinary web requests that are hard to tell apart from the rest of the internet.

FAQ

The short version

About VPN through Telegram, paying with TON and working under blocking. Can’t find your question? Ask in the bot — we’ll answer right there.

Ask a question →
How do I set up a VPN through Telegram?

AETHER is a VPN bot in Telegram. Open @AetherProjectBot, tap Start and join our group — the bot gives you a personal subscription link. The “Open in app” button (“Открыть в приложении” — the bot’s interface is in Russian for now) passes it to Hiddify, Karing, V2Box or another app on iPhone, Android, Windows, macOS or Linux. From then on the VPN turns on with one tap and the settings update themselves.

Do I need to sign up or use a bank card?

No. It’s a VPN with no sign-up and no card: no login, no password, no email and no phone number — essentially a VPN without an account. Your subscription is tied to your Telegram, and you pay with TON.

Can I pay for the VPN with TON or other crypto?

Payment is accepted in TON — a cryptocurrency you can buy in a Telegram wallet or on an exchange. There are no other payment methods yet. Pick a plan in the bot, send the amount shown and confirm the payment — the bot checks the transfer and extends your subscription.

Does the VPN work when sites are blocked?

Yes. AETHER was built as a reliable VPN that keeps working under blocking. Your subscription includes several protocols — VLESS Reality, WebSocket, gRPC and XHTTP — and to your ISP the traffic looks like ordinary HTTPS. If one route stops working, the app switches to another and we add a replacement; the subscription updates automatically.

Is there a free trial?

Yes: the first 7 days are free, with full access to the whole internet. The trial is available once per Telegram account and starts as soon as you join our group — no card required.

Is it a private VPN with no logs?

We don’t store your IP addresses, the sites you visit, DNS queries or traffic contents. Our servers keep only connection times and traffic volume for 14 days — without IPs and without destinations. Subscription data is encrypted.

What happens after the free week?

Nothing gets charged — we don’t have your card. The bot offers you a plan. If you don’t renew, access simply ends: no reminder emails, no hidden charges.
